Following other initiatives already carried out by the Portuguese Commission of Tunnels and Underground Space, the Order of Engineers and the Portuguese Association of Designers and Consultants, a webinar will be held on the OE website on 2 November. at 5 pm, where the “Guide of Best Practices for the Contracting of Complex Geotechnical Works 2020” will be presented.

The working group responsible for preparing this Guide of Best Practices was created following the CPT Study Day on Hiring Complex Geotechnical Works, which took place in 2018 at LNEC.
This group aimed to propose a methodology for the contracting of complex geotechnical works in the light of the current Public Contracts Code, which resulted in this document.
This 2020 version incorporates the valuable contributions received during the dissemination sessions held in 2019 all over the country (South, Centre and North) and subsequent debates. Among other adjustments, the following was added:
– Annex 1: Example of a project by scenarios
– Annex 2: Frequently Asked Questions, with quick answers to the questions raised
