The Portuguese Commission of Tunnels and Underground Space (CPT), the Portuguese Geotechnical Society and the National Laboratory of Civil Engineering are promoting the Workshop “New Structural Solutions in Underground Works“, held at the LNEC Congress Centre on May 21, 2015.
With this Workshop, CPT intends to disseminate in the Portuguese technical environment some recent developments in the field of underground works, namely those related with: sprayed concrete with metallic fibres (manufacturing and placing technologies, ownership and design); advanced underground excavation techniques; and excavation of wells or inclined tunnels by raise boring.
The speakers at the Workshop are specialists in these subjects, with activities in national and international works of great size and complexity. The Workshop is of particular interest to Geotechnical or Structural Engineering technicians with professional activity in Owners, Construction, Design or Supervision companies in the field of underground works.
