The Portuguese Commission of Tunnels and Underground Space (CPT) of the Portuguese Geotechnical Society (SPG), in association with the Order of Engineers (OE), is organizing a technical visit on May 22 to the Gouvães Hydroelectric Plant and the Daivões Dam, which are currently under construction (contractor Iberdrola) –> Folheto Gouvães.
The visit will be the entire day for those who depart from Lisbon (departure at 7 am and arrival around 11:30 pm). The Lisbon-Porto route is done by train and then at Porto / Campanhã Station the journey will continue by bus with the colleagues from Porto who will join at 10 am.
The maximum number of participants is 30. Registration entries will be accepted in order of of proof of payment reception (include full name, identity card number and validity).
The limit date for acceptance of the registration, departing from Lisbon with the inclusion of a train ticket, is April 24, 2019.
SPG members, members of the Order of Engineers and students have access to special participation conditions: €65* for those departing from Lisbon and €40* for those who join in Porto.
* If the train ticket is not included, the registration fee will be reduced by €25 for those departing from Lisbon.
Participants must bring their own IPE: safety helmet, safety vest and protection footwear.
