The XVIII European Conference on Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ECSMGE 2024) will be held in Lisbon from August 26 to 30, 2024, at the Altice Arena. The conference has the general theme CHALLENGES OF GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING TO MEET CURRENT AND EMERGING SOCIETY NEEDS but covers all subjects dealt with by the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE).
This is the first time this event has been held in Portugal, and the decision was taken in Reykjavic, Iceland, at the previous European conference.
The SPG Board of Directors is calling on all members to take part in this prestigious event for Portuguese geotechnics. Abstract submissions are now open and interested members are asked to send them to spg@lnec.pt, using the template attached to this message, by April 15, 2023. The conference proceedings will be published by an international publisher and sent to indexing services such as Scopus, WoS/Clarivate, EI and Compendex.
