ointly organized by the Portuguese Order of Engineers, the Portuguese Association of Designers and Consultants and the Portuguese Commission of Tunnels and Underground Space (CPT), the Portuguese Geotechnical Society took place on July 18, 2019 in the auditorium of OE Engenheiros headquarters, in Lisbon, the presentation session of the Guide to Good Practice for Contracting Complex Geotechnical Works(OGC).

The program of the session included the presentation of this Guide that addresses the best practices of construction of the OGC, promoting the adequacy of the construction methods initially foreseen to the actual conditions found on site, through the contractual flexibility of public contracts.

Reflecting the cross-sectional character, interest and timeliness of the topic, the session featured over 170 entries, mostly from professionals working in underground works engineering, administrative law, public managers and the regulatory body.

The session featured an interesting and interested debate. It is available in full (about 2h and 30min) on the OE website at this link.
