The Portuguese Commission for Geotechnics in Transport (CPGT), through its Work Group 2 (Port Geotechnics), together with the Portuguese Commission for Land Improvement (CPMT), of the Portuguese Geotechnics Society (SPG), are organising the Seminar Geotechnics in Maritime Works – Learning from Experience.
This seminar focus on the present and future geotechnical challenges associated to port and maritime works, namely the intelligent management of port infrastructures, the improvement of Leixões Port, as well as offshore works for renewable energies, disseminating the acquired experience. On the afternoon of the second day of the Seminar, there will be a technical visit to the rehabilitation work on the quay at Doca 1 Norte in the Port of Leixões.
